SolidWorks Training Courses
All SOLIDWORKS training should start with the essentials.
SOLIDWORKS Essentials is the foundation on which you can build your modeling skills. It covers the base concepts and conventions on which the rest of our SOLIDWORKS classes are based. (If you need to create drawings of your designs, SOLIDWORKS Drawings will show you how to make complete design documentation.
Part Modeling and Assembly Modeling will complete your knowledge of solids modeling tools and techniques. If your designs require complex or organic shapes, Advanced Surfacing Modeling will introduce you to surface modeling techniques. CATI's exclusive Industrial Design Modeling class is the ultimate surface modeling class.
Mold Design, Sheet Metal, Weldments, and Translation Techniques are focused on specific types of parts and assemblies with distinctive fabrication methods or applications.
PhotoView 360, CAD Productivity Tools and Motion Manager are self study guides that will allow you to do more with your design data.
SOLIDWORKS Professional and Premium come with a basic PDM system called SOLIDWORKS PDM Standard (EPDM). The User and Implementer classes cover the use and administration of this system.
If you need to automate or customize SOLIDWORKS for your specific application our API Programming classes will get you started.

SOLIDWORKS Simulation Training
The SOLIDWORKS Simulation course is the foundation class and is a prerequisite for most other classes. It covers the simulation tools that come with SOLIDWORKS Premium. The other classes are aligned by product. You take the class for the software you purchased.
Simulation Training Classes:
SolidWorks Electrical Training
With a consistent, powerful, intuitive set of electrical design capabilities, all fully integrated with the SOLIDWORKS solution portfolio, designers can establish an integrated design early in the design process and avoid costly design rework. Our SOLIDWORKS Electrical Training Classes will get you started.
Electrical Training Classes:
SolidWorks PDM / PLM Trainings
MCAD offers two different PDM solutions. SOLIDWORKS Standard and Professional CAD licenses come with PDM Standard, a basic system design for small work-groups.
SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional is a complete design data management system from SOLIDWORKS. We offer classes tailored for CAD Designers and for non-CAD users. We also have a training course for those responsible for system configuration and maintenance.
PDM Training Classes:
- SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional: API Programming
- SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional: Administrator
- SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional: CAD Editor/Contributor/Viewer
- SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional::Advanced Administrator
- SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional: IT Administrator
- SOLIDWORKS PDM Standard: CAD Editor/Contributor/Viewer
- SOLIDWORKS PDM Standard: Administrator
PLM Training Classes:
3D Printing Training
MCAD offers training on Stratasys 3D Printing Systems. Our current class offering covers Insight Software Training. Insight software prepares your CAD program’s STL output to be manufactured on a Fortus system by automatically slicing and generating support structures and material extrusion paths.

Other Trainings Offered
One of the most powerful aspects of SOLIDWORKS is that it is extendable. MCAD offers training for many of these extension products.
Other Training Classes
Please note: Classes require a minimum of 3 students to run. MCAD Technologies reserves the right to cancel any class at our discretion. Exception may be made, but will be decided upon on a case by case basis.
